GOD OF THE CITY

Today is going to be a life changing day for many women across the city of Memphis, Tennessee. Today for the first time they will find JESUS!

Redemption 2009, a multicultural revival for women, will take place tonight and tomorrow and we believe that Memphis will NEVER be the same!!!!!! In the city where Martin Luther King was murdered, in the city where gunshots are heard every single night, where murder is commonplace, not a rare occurance, God is going to move!

I do not believe one event has ever been prayed over and prayed for more than this event. God says in II Chronicles 7:14 "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, THEN will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land [city]"

We have believed that and taken God at His word. We have prayed for many, many months, seeking the face of God, realizing that politics, sports, and sheer determination cannot change this city. ONLY GOD CAN! He alone is the God of this city. And there is no one like our GOD!!

Yes, today is going to be a monumental day in the lives of women across this city. Their lives will be changed as they meet Jesus for the first time and as He moves in power and authority tonight and tomorrow, breaking down walls and barriers, melting hatred and prejudices like only He can do, the city of Memphis will be forever changed, too.
